The minute we saw the Roto, we knew.
The first time we saw Figura Studio's TP holder, we were mind-blown. The design is smart in the way good design is supposed to be smart: beautiful, and it actually works better. Suddenly, changing a roll goes from being an annoying experience to a really satisfying one.
We knew right away this was a perfect fit for a collaboration. So when thinking about what we'd bring to the table we asked ourselves the same question we always ask: how can we make this even better? That sent us looking at the material itself. 3D-printing is an inherently better way to manufacture because you only produce what's needed, and there's a lot less waste. But what if the material itself could carry a sustainability story too?
So we made a special edition 3D printed from recycled PLA, plastic waste that would have ended up in a landfill, now turned into something you'd actually want to give a home to. The arms are anodized aluminum, built to last. The colors come from natural pigments like red algae instead of synthetic dyes.
Figura brings the design and the craft. We bring the push toward recycled materials.
